Deck overview

This deck is an optimized Esper Equipment Voltron strategy helmed by Jin Sakai, Ghost of Tsushima. The primary plan accelerates into Jin Sakai on turn 3 or 4, attaches powerful weapons like Excalibur, Sword of Eden or Blackblade Reforged, and uses Jin's triggered ability to alternate between double strike (Standoff) and unblockability (Ghost). This creates a fast, lethal commander damage clock that eliminates one player per combat while drawing extra cards on hit. A dense tutor suite headlined by Stoneforge Mystic and Steelshaper's Gift ensures consistent access to essential equipment and cost reducers like Sigarda's Aid and Puresteel Paladin. Robust plan shielding, including Teferi's Protection, Mithril Coat, and Conqueror's Flail, protects the commander from opposing disruption, while efficient free and low-cost interaction keeps faster opposing strategies in check during the multi-turn combat cleanup.
