Deck overview

Helmed by Tidus, Yuna's Guardian, this is a +1/+1-counter midrange deck that turns combat damage into card advantage and a snowballing board state. Tidus's first ability moves counters onto a chosen attacker, and his Cheer trigger turns any hit by a countered creature into a draw plus proliferate. The deck accelerates that plan with counter amplifiers such as Hardened Scales, Kami of Whispered Hopes, Pir, Imaginative Rascal, Zimone, Paradox Sculptor, and the de facto engine Sazh Katzroy, then funnels growth into evasive or double-striking carriers like Wraith, Vicious Vigilante, Benthic Infiltrator, and Mercurial Spelldancer. The payoff is either repeated massive combat damage or a burst finish: Sakiko, Mother of Summer converts a huge attack into green mana, and Walking Ballista uses that mana to clean up the table. Primo, the Unbounded, Felidar Retreat, and Inexorable Tide provide secondary board-wide threats.
