Commander: The Ur-Dragon

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

The Ur-Dragon commands a five-color Dragon tribal deck focused on overwhelming opponents through high-impact flying beaters, cost reduction, and enter-the-battlefield burn. With The Ur-Dragon providing passive cost reduction via eminence from the command zone, the deck rapidly establishes early ramp before deploying devastating dragon engines like Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm, Scourge of Valkas, and Tiamat. Victory is achieved through explosive aerial combat boosted by Thrakkus the Butcher, massive direct burn triggers from Dragon Tempest, or an alternate upkeep win with Call the Spirit Dragons. Cheat effects like Fist of Suns and Quicksilver Amulet bypass mana restrictions to flood the board with legendary dragons.
