Commander: Heroes in a Half Shell

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This deck is a five-colour Mutant/Ninja/Turtle tribal build helmed by Heroes in a Half Shell. The commander's haste, vigilance, menace and trample let it attack immediately, and its combat-damage trigger puts a +1/+1 counter on each attacking Mutant, Ninja or Turtle and draws a card. The deck is stuffed with legendary turtle partners, many with "Sneak" abilities that cheat them into play tapped and attacking. The primary win condition is incremental combat damage: the commander grows, other turtles join the fray, and counter synergies (Mikey & Leo, Chaos & Order) draw extra cards. One extra-combat card, Raph & Leo, Sibling Rivals, provides a second combat phase. There are no infinite combos; the deck wins by overwhelming the table with a steadily growing, evasive army.
