Format: Commander

Commander: Thorin, King of Durin's Folk

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Thorin, King of Durin's Folk leads a Boros Dwarf-hoard game: Dwarf entries make Treasures, and Thorin's pumping ability turns those Treasures into pressure. The primary plan is to build a Dwarf pipeline, store Treasures, then make one protected alpha strike. Secondary paths include Dain's "number of Dwarves" damage, Balin's draw-and-burn, Magda's five-Treasure tutor, and Smaug's Treasure-fueled attacks. Cadric, Soul Kindrer works as a hidden commander: it copies legendary Dwarves with haste, especially Thorain, generating extra token copies and double Treasure triggers. The commander is not double-faced; the deck is built around Thorin as a token-generating lord, not around a transforming second face.
