Deck overview

This is a Dimir Zombie-tribal value deck helmed by Vela the Night-Clad, whose intimidate makes the entire swarm difficult to block and whose leave-the-battlefield trigger converts every death, sacrifice, and flicker into table-wide drain. The core plan is to flood the board with Zombie tokens and lords, then close the game through a combination of combat damage and death/leave triggers from Vengeful Dead, Diregraf Captain, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel. A robust graveyard recursion package - Zombie Apocalypse, Grimoire of the Dead, Gisa and Geralf, and Havengul Lich - lets the deck rebuild after wipes and reuse its best creatures. There are no infinite combos; this is a grind-oriented midrange deck that wins through incremental drain and a wide, evasive board. Vela is a force-multiplier rather than the engine itself, and the deck functions as a conventional Zombie pile even if she never resolves.
