Deck overview

Toph, the First Metalbender leads a Naya midrange deck focused on animating lands and artifacts through the earthbend mechanic and stacking +1/+1 counters. Toph turns all nontoken artifacts into lands and automatically earthbends 2 on each end step, creating recurring 0/0 land creatures with two +1/+1 counters and haste that return to the battlefield tapped if destroyed or exiled. The deck supplements this engine with modular artifact creatures like Arcbound Crusher and Zabaz, the Glimmerwasp, counter multipliers like Doc Samson, Super Psychiatrist, and dedicated earthbenders including Bumi, Eclectic Earthbender and Avatar Kyoshi, Earthbender. While the deck features outstanding board wipe resilience due to earthbend land recursion, it relies strictly on combat damage to eliminate opponents and runs minimal reactive removal to disrupt opposing combos.
