Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black Skeleton tribal and aristocrats engine commanded by Ozox, the Clattering King. The deck leverages Ozox's unique death trigger, which produces the legendary token Jumblebones. When Jumblebones leaves the battlefield, it returns Ozox from the graveyard straight to your hand, bypassing commander tax entirely. This mechanic transforms standard sacrifice-and-draw spells like Village Rites, Deadly Dispute, and Nasty End into powerful card advantage engines. The deck deploys resilient regenerating Skeletons and pumps them with anthems like Bad Moon, Corpses of the Lost, and Patchwork Banner, granting evasion through Cover of Darkness to pressure opponents across the combat step. It also features a high-ceiling infinite drain loop using Ozox, the Clattering King, Phyrexian Altar, and Bontu's Monument. While the deck excels at recovering its commander without tax penalties and controlling creature boards via Grave Pact, its lack of tutors and artifact removal leaves it vulnerable to non-creature strategies.
