Deck overview

This mono-black Aristocrats deck is led by Ayara, First of Locthwain, serving as both a card engine and a win condition in the command zone. The deck converts disposable creature tokens and recurring graveyard creatures into mana, card draw, and life drain. Its primary victory route is an infinite sacrifice loop combining Gravecrawler with Warren Soultrader or Phyrexian Altar alongside Ayara, First of Locthwain or secondary drain outlets like Blood Artist. In addition to its combo finishes, the deck can grind tables down through oppressive resource denial using Contamination, Grave Pact, and Tergrid, God of Fright. Low-cost ramp and potent black tutors allow the deck to pivot smoothly between stax control and fast combo execution.
