Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Atraxa, Praetors' Voice deck leans heavily into Phyrexian tribal and the proliferate mechanic, aiming to win via poison counters. The primary game plan is to deploy early infect/toxic creatures and spells (Skrelv, Defector Mite, Venerated Rotpriest, Infectious Inquiry) to land the first few poison counters, then use Atraxa's end-step proliferate alongside cards like Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus, Contaminant Grafter, and Ezuri, Stalker of Spheres to rapidly escalate poison counters to lethal (10 per opponent). The deck also features a suite of powerful Phyrexian praetors (Toxrill, the Corrosive, Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, Elesh Norn // The Argent Etchings) that serve as both threats and value engines. Secondary win paths include Triumph of the Hordes turning a wide board into an infect kill and Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon as an evasive commander-damage/poison threat. The deck operates as a mid-range value/control build, using stax elements (Grand Arbiter Augustin IV, Phyrexian Censor) to slow opponents while it builds its poison clock.
