Deck overview

This Esper deck leverages The Ur-Sphinx's eminence ability to discount high-impact Sphinx creatures right from the command zone. Supported by efficient 2-CMC mana artifacts and tribal cost reducers like Urza's Incubator and Herald's Horn, the deck accelerates into Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign on Turn 4. Unesh turns every subsequent Sphinx into a mini Fact or Fiction, generating massive card advantage that chains multiple threats into play. The deck integrates a dedicated blink package featuring Displacer Kitten, Teleportation Circle, and Ephemerate to repeatedly reuse powerful enter-the-battlefield abilities, culminating in Magister Sphinx setting opponent life totals to 10. With asymmetric board wipes like Raise the Palisade and Kindred Dominance keeping the skies clear, the deck rapidly closes the game through overwhelming aerial combat on Turn 6. Cheap counterspells and equipment provide sturdy plan shielding throughout execution.
