Deck overview

This Rakdos deck pairs Ganax, Astral Hunter with the Background Haunted One to execute an aggressive Dragon tribal stompy game plan. The strategy focuses on accelerating through early mana rocks and cost reducers to cast Haunted One on Turn 3 and Ganax, Astral Hunter on Turn 4. Ganax generates Treasure tokens whenever Dragons enter the battlefield, providing substantial mana velocity to chain massive airborne threats like Terror of the Peaks, Utvara Hellkite, and Lathliss, Dragon Queen. Tapping Ganax in combat activates Haunted One, granting the entire Dragon army +2/+0 and undying to deter blockers and resist traditional destroy sweepers. The deck leverages asymmetric board wipes like Crux of Fate and Breath Weapon to clear opposing boards while keeping its Dragon core intact, closing games through overwhelming flying damage and direct ETB burn across two combat rotations.
