Deck overview

This is an Abzan Food-token deck helmed by the partner pair Frodo, Adventurous Hobbit and Sam, Loyal Attendant, built around the Shire's signature engine: generate as many Food tokens as possible, turn that life-gain and token density into reach, and bury opponents in chip damage. The primary win path is incremental drain - Mirkwood Bats, Nadier's Nightblade, Kambal, Profiteering Mayor, and Sanguine Bond convert every token created, sacrificed, or life gained into damage across the table. A secondary combat finish arrives through Overwhelming Stampede, Moonshaker Cavalry, and Pippin, Warden of Isengard's haste anthem, turning a wall of Halflings and Birds lethal. The Ring-tempts subtheme (Call of the Ring, Smeagol, Helpful Guide, Aragorn, Company Leader) feeds Frodo's card draw and land theft. The deck is a classic incremental-value grinder with no fast combo, relying on redundancy and inevitability rather than a single explosive turn.
