Deck overview

This deck is a thematic Grixis reanimator strategy centered on Sauron, the Dark Lord and a dense package of nine Nazgûl. The game plan focuses on filling the graveyard with powerful Wraiths and Incarnations like Anger and Wonder using Buried Alive, Entomb, and wheel effects. Once Sauron enters the battlefield, any spell cast by opponents builds an Orc Army, which triggers the Ring tempts whenever it deals combat damage. Each temptation lets you discard your hand and draw four fresh cards while pumping every Wraith on your board with +1/+1 counters. The deck converts this compounding card advantage into game-ending combat steps via mass reanimation spells like Patriarch's Bidding and Haunting Voyage, or through Lord of the Nazgûl. Sauron's demanding ward ability protects your commander from targeted removal, while cards like Archfiend of Ifnir and Orcish Bowmasters punish opposing boards and draw engines.
