Deck overview

This is an Abzan lifegain, drain, and graveyard-reanimation deck helmed by Betor, Ancestor's Voice. The commander converts life gained each turn into +1/+1 counters and life lost each turn into end-step reanimation, making every incidental life trigger a resource. The primary plan is to stabilize with early lifegain pieces like Soul Warden, Ripples of Undeath, and Vampire Spawn, then convert that life into table-wide damage through Sanguine Bond, Dina, Soul Steeper, Gray Merchant of Asphodel, and a large Exsanguinate. Felidar Sovereign is a legitimate alternate win condition once life is comfortably above 40. The deck is a midrange value engine that can also pivot into reanimation lines via Buried Alive, Reanimate, Whip of Erebos, and Priest of Fell Rites, with Betor, Kin to All and The Wind Crystal acting as powerful force multipliers.
