Deck overview

This deck is a Jeskai Voltron and board-control strategy piloted by Captain America, First Avenger. The primary game plan revolves around deploying low-cost ramp, cost reducers, and equipment tutors during the opening turns, casting Captain America on turn 3, and cheating heavy Equipment onto the battlefield by turn 4. At the beginning of combat, Captain America's Catch ability attaches high-mana-value weapons like Excalibur, Sword of Eden or Kaldra Compleat for free, enabling massive combat swings. In the second main phase or in response to threats, his Throw ability unloads that Equipment's mana value as direct, divided damage to remove blockers, burn opponents, or control utility creatures. Supporting cards like Puresteel Paladin, Forge Anew, and Grand Abolisher provide frictionless re-equipping and spell protection, driving a reliable finish around Turn 7.
