Oloro, Ageless Ascetic by RedneckGaming

Format: Commander

Commander: Oloro, Ageless Ascetic

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Oloro is an Esper lifegain-control deck that uses the commander's passive drain and upkeep triggers to buy time while assembling a two-card life-drain loop. The primary plan is to gain small amounts of life from soul sisters, Oloro, and pillowfort pieces, then combine any 'gain life opponent loses life' permanent (Vito, Sanguine Bond, Starscape Cleric, etc.) with Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror; the next upkeep's life gain triggers an infinite loop. Secondary paths are life-threshold alt-win cards (Test of Endurance, Felidar Sovereign) and Aetherflux Reservoir, sometimes paired with Bolas's Citadel and Sensei's Divining Top. Oloro's battlefield face is the engine: his active ability turns every life-gain event into a card and a ping.
