Deck overview

This Golgari deck is built around Chatterfang, Squirrel General, leveraging its passive token doubling and built-in sacrifice removal to dominate the board and execute lethal aristocrat combos. The game plan accelerates in turns 1–2 with efficient ramp into a turn-3 commander deployment. On turn 4, the deck establishes an active token generation engine through staples like Tireless Provisioner, Black Market Connections, or Warren Soultrader. This triggers Chatterfang to flood the board with Squirrel tokens, which simultaneously serve as ammunition for creature removal and fuel for explosive card draw via Skullclamp and Plumb the Forbidden. On turn 5, the deck reaches critical onset, threatening immediate table-wide lethality by combining mass token generation with drain engines like Bastion of Remembrance, Mirkwood Bats, and Zulaport Cutthroat, or executing an infinite death-trigger loop with Pitiless Plunderer. Protected by Heroic Intervention and Legolas's Quick Reflexes, the deck provides high consistency, robust recovery, and decisive finishing power.
