Deck overview

This Golgari deck is led by Ygra, Eater of All, combining +1/+1 counters, Food artifacts, and Voltron combat damage. Ygra turns every other creature on the battlefield into a Food artifact. Whenever any creature or Food dies, Ygra gains two +1/+1 counters, causing its power to swell rapidly. The primary game plan casts Ygra on Turn 5 and equips or grants it trample using cards like Duskshell Crawler, Gnarlid Colony, and Cliffhaven Kitesail to eliminate opponents through commander damage by Turn 8. In addition to commander combat, the deck contains an infinite token and card-draw combo between Peregrin Took and Experimental Confectioner, as well as wide overrun lines via Spider Spawning and Overrun. Interaction is grounded in Golgari removal spells, small board wipes, and cheap defensive protection spells like Snakeskin Veil and Kaya's Ghostform.
