Deck overview

This five-color spellslinger deck leverages Codie, Ravenous Codex to double the spell halves of versatile prepare creatures. By deploying prepared creatures early, the deck sets up high-impact spell copies of effects like Ancestral Recall, Seething Song, and Demonic Tutor. Once an engine piece like Archmage Emeritus, Storm-Kiln Artist, or Veyran, Voice of Duality is in play, the deck generates vast amounts of mana and cards from a single spell cast. Win conditions revolve around Magecraft life drain and burn via Witherbloom Apprentice, Guttersnipe, Coruscation Mage, and Professor Onyx, culminating in a table-wide kill on Turn 6 after activating Codie's five-color reprepare ability. Backed by versatile five-color removal and temporary board clearance from Avatar's Wrath, the deck transitions smoothly from board development into explosive multi-spell turns.
