Deck overview

This Orzhov deck leverages Shilgengar, Sire of Famine to bridge tribal Angel aristocrats with mass graveyard reanimation. In the opening turns, early mana rocks and cost reducers accelerate setup creatures and discard outlets. By sacrificing high-toughness Angels to Shilgengar, the deck generates large quantities of Blood tokens in a single action. Spending three Orzhov mana and six Blood tokens triggers a mass reanimation that returns the entire graveyard to the battlefield as Vampires. The reanimated board deploys lethal aerial pressure and oppressive triggers through Archfiend of Despair, Archon of Cruelty, and Avacyn, Angel of Hope. Alternatively, the deck can assemble a direct two-card infinite life-drain loop with Bloodthirsty Conqueror and Marauding Blight-Priest. Asymmetric death-exile effects from Liesa, Forgotten Archangel keep opposing graveyards clear while preserving your own recursion loop.
