Gandalf by bigp22

Format: Commander

Commander: Gandalf the Grey

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a spellslinger/storm deck centered on Gandalf the Grey's modal triggers. The primary plan is to lower instant/sorcery costs, chain rituals and draw spells, and convert each cast into damage through Fiery Inscription, Guttersnipe, Electrostatic Field, and similar payoffs, with Grapeshot as the main finisher. Secondary paths use Underworld Breach or Mizzix's Mastery to recur the chain, and a compact Frantic Search + Narset's Reversal + Primal Wellspring loop can generate many spell casts. Gandalf acts as an accelerant and copy/untap engine rather than the sole win condition. There is no true hidden commander; Urabrask // The Great Work is the closest backup. Commander-dependency is moderate because the payoffs, rituals, and primary combo function without Gandalf.
