Umbris - current by Trauxc

Format: Commander

Commander: Umbris, Fear Manifest

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Umbris, Fear Manifest leads a Dimir "exile-matters" Horror/Nightmare deck. The core plan is to pile up cards owned by opponents in exile so Umbris turns into a giant unblockable threat. The deck combines Horror/Nightmare ETB triggers with a flicker package (Essence Flux, Ghostly Flicker, Teferi's Time Twist, Deadeye Navigator, Y'shtola Rhul) and trigger multipliers (Panharmonicon, Starfield Vocalist) to repeatedly exile from the top of opponents' libraries. Mass-exile spells such as Tasha's Hideous Laughter, Fractured Sanity, and Maddening Cacophony accelerate the plan, while Leyline of the Void, Planar Void, and Dauthi Voidwalker turn opposing graveyards into more exile fuel. The primary finishes are commander damage from Umbris and, secondarily, exiling entire libraries. There is no infinite combo; the deck wins through accumulated exile and repeated combat.
