Deck overview

This deck is a resilient Grixis Aristocrats and recursion engine commanded by Marchesa, the Black Rose. The primary strategy establishes a self-sustaining loop using Marchesa's dethrone and death-trigger abilities. By placing +1/+1 counters on utility creatures, artifact constructs, and ETB threats, the deck sacrifices them to outlets like Phyrexian Altar and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, recurring them at every end step. This engine generates compounding card advantage through Danny Pink and Satoru, the Infiltrator, while systematically dismantling opposing boards with Grave Pact and Dusk Mangler. Life totals are rapidly drained through recurring triggers from Flayer of the Hatebound, Gray Merchant of Asphodel, and Blood Artist. High-synergy backup lines including Sneak Attack and Insurrection allow the deck to pivot smoothly if the commander is taxed. Fast artifact ramp and free interaction like Fierce Guardianship protect key setup turns, culminating in decisive attrition locks and lethal drain across table rotations.
