Deck overview

This deck is a classic Simic landfall ramp strategy centered around Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait. The primary game plan accelerates mana development during the opening turns using efficient green land ramp like Cultivate, Kodama's Reach, and Explore alongside early mana rocks. Assembling Aesi on Turn 5 establishes an overwhelming card advantage engine that converts every land drop into fresh cards and allows two land plays each turn. The deck transitions into its win condition on Turn 6 by casting massive token producers such as Avenger of Zendikar and Rampaging Baloths, or sweeping opposing defenses with asymmetric board resets like Whelming Wave and Scourge of Fleets. While the deck possesses remarkable late-game grinding power and resilience through brute-force mana production, it lacks tutors, fast combo finishes, and instant-speed stack interaction, relying instead on compounding creature board states over two full turn cycles to close out the game through combat damage.
