Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Persist Aristocrats combo engine commanded by Celes, Rune Knight. Celes provides a powerful static ability: whenever a creature enters the battlefield from the graveyard, Celes places a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control. When combined with any creature possessing the persist mechanic (such as Putrid Goblin, Lesser Masticore, or Murderous Redcap) and a free sacrifice outlet (such as Viscera Seer, Yahenni, Undying Partisan, or Woe Strider), the +1/+1 counter from Celes completely negates the -1/-1 counter applied by persist. This creates an infinite sacrifice loop that requires no additional mana once assembled. When paired with drain payoffs like Zulaport Cutthroat, Cruel Celebrant, Corpse Knight, or Bastion of Remembrance, the deck drains all three opponents to zero life in a single turn. Backed by 6 low-cost reanimation protection spells, Celes also refuels hand quality upon entry.
