Commander: Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Dimir tempo-control shell built entirely around Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow's unique commander ninjutsu. The plan is to attack with a cheap unblockable creature, ninjutsu Yuriko in for a flat {U}{B}, and convert every Ninja connection into both a draw and a table-wide life-loss trigger. A dense suite of counterspells, instant-speed removal, hand disruption, and draw-hosers like Narset, Parter of Veils and Notion Thief keeps opponents from stabilizing while the drain accrues. "Sneak" Ninjas like Splinter, Hamato Yoshi and Oroku Saki, Shredder Rising fire multiple Yuriko triggers in a single combat, and flips can be manipulated with Brainstorm, scry, and surveil. There is no infinite combo: the deck closes through attrition - stacked flips (Treasure Cruise is the biggest ceiling), Court of Ambition upkeep drain, Ninja Teen ping loops, and Krang & Shredder free casts - grinding all three opponents down around turns 8-9.
