Deck overview

This Orzhov deck leverages Shilgengar, Sire of Famine to bridge tribal Angel beatdown with high-impact graveyard reanimation. Early turns focus on establishing mana, stocking the graveyard with self-mill tools like Buried Alive and Mindwrack Harpy, and playing resilient mid-sized Angels. Once Shilgengar is cast on turn 5, sacrificing an Angel with high toughness immediately produces the 6 Blood tokens required for its mass reanimation ability. Activating this ability on turn 6 floods the battlefield with flying threats and triggers drain effects from creatures such as Corpse Knight and Mirkwood Bats. While the reanimated creatures enter with finality counters, the sudden influx of evasive power and lifegain-drain synergies quickly overwhelms opponents over two combat steps. The deck also operates reliably as a traditional midrange flying deck if the commander is removed.
