Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul Voltron and fight-control strategy led by Wolverine, Best There Is. The game plan leverages Wolverine's innate damage doubling to convert power buffs, equipment, and fight spells into rapid eliminations via commander damage. In the opening turns, the deck deploys efficient ramp to cast Wolverine by Turn 2 or 3, then utilizes fight and bite spells like Bite Down, Assert Perfection, and Burrog Barrage to clear opposing blockers while triggering Wolverine's end-step +1/+1 counter growth. High-impact equipment such as Genji Glove, Buster Sword, and Hard-Won Jitte rapidly push Wolverine into one-shot lethal territory, while support cards like The Earth Crystal and Collective Inferno amplify damage output. Evasion lands, hexproof protection spells, and Wolverine's built-in regeneration shield the engine from disruption. Secondary threats such as Amarant Coral and Vincent, Vengeful Atoner provide table-wide damage pressure to close games smoothly when single-target commander attacks are contested.
