Commander: Betor, Ancestor's Voice

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Betor, Ancestor's Voice leads an Abzan lifegain/life-loss engine. The commander turns each end step's life gained into +1/+1 counters and life lost into graveyard recursion, enabling a grindier midrange plan. The deck also runs a secondary legendary payoff (Betor, Kin to All) and several independent lifegain drains. Real wins come from a one-turn spike: convert big life loss into huge life gain with Children of Korlis/Wall of Blood, tap Accomplished Alchemist for 40+ mana, and fire Debt to the Deathless or use Aetherflux Reservoir to close the table. Without a tutor, the deck relies on draw/ramp to assemble its burst, so games play out around turns 7-8.
