JLK's Alela | Game Knights #64 by tylersmith

Format: Commander

Commander: Alela, Cunning Conqueror

Bracket: 3

DeckCheck Threat Index: 46

Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir flash tempo build led by Alela, Cunning Conqueror. It operates almost entirely on opponents' turns, using low-cost instant-speed interaction, cantrips, and flash creatures to disrupt opposing strategies while creating a swarm of 1/1 flying Faerie Rogue tokens. Alela's combat damage trigger goads key enemy threats, deflecting attacks away from your life total and forcing opponents to whittle down each other's life totals. Meanwhile, card draw engines like Wavebreak Hippocamp, Kindred Discovery, and Skullclamp ensure your hand remains full of reactive spells. Once a critical mass of evasive flyers is assembled, the deck closes the game using anthem effects, life-drain triggers from Obyra, Dreaming Duelist and Ayara, First of Locthwain, or a prowled Notorious Throng that doubles your army and grants an extra combat turn to finish off all three opponents.
