Deck overview

This is a five-color Avatar/Ally tribal deck built around the "bending" mechanics, helmed by Avatar Aang, who transforms into Aang, Master of Elements. The front face draws a card each time you waterbend, earthbend, firebend, or airbend, and completing all four in a single turn flips him into a 6/6 that reduces all your spells by {W}{U}{B}{R}{G} and, on each upkeep, gains life, draws four cards, and deals 4 damage to each opponent. The primary path to victory is combat: animate lands into huge creatures via earthbend effects, pump them with Toph, Greatest Earthbender's double strike and Katara, Water Tribe's Hope's X/X setting, and chain extra combats with Bumi, Unleashed. A dense cast of legendary Avatars - multiple Aangs, Tophs, and Kataras - provides redundancy and value. Secondary wins come from the commander's upkeep burn and a wide Ally token swarm.
