Deck overview

This deck is a classic Dimir Zombie tribal strategy led by The Scarab God. It focuses on curving out resilient Zombie creatures during the early turns, establishing board presence, and buffing them with traditional tribal lords such as Death Baron, Lord of the Accursed, and Undead Warchief. Once The Scarab God hits the battlefield, the deck transitions into an attrition and drain engine, using the commander's upkeep ability to steadily bleed opponents while scrying through the library for high-impact spells. In the late game, the commander acts as an instant-speed reanimator to convert dead threats into 4/4 Zombie tokens, while mass-reanimation spells like Zombie Apocalypse and token producers like Army of the Damned provide wide combat steps to close out the game. The deck plays at a casual pace due to a lack of tutors and fast mana.
