Deck overview

This deck is an interactive Dimir flash-tempo build piloted by Alela, Cunning Conqueror. The game plan revolves around casting cheap instant-speed interaction and flash spells during opponents' turns to generate an army of flying Faerie Rogue tokens. Once a critical mass of evasive tokens is established, the deck pivots into aggressive combat, utilizing Alela's combat damage trigger to goad key opposing creatures and force opponents to attack one another. Coastal Piracy effects such as Bident of Thassa and Enduring Curiosity, alongside engines like Grim Hireling and Skullclamp, convert wide flying attacks into card velocity and mana advantage. Drain engines including Mirkwood Bats and Obyra, Dreaming Duelist turn token creation and sacrifice into steady life loss. Defensively, pillowfort pieces like Propaganda, Crawlspace, and Silent Arbiter ensure redirected opposing attacks cannot reach you, while an elite counterspell suite protects your board and controls decisive stack interactions until the table is closed out.
