Thranduil elf ball by AuraDrifter

Format: Commander

Commander: Thranduil, the Elvenking

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Thranduil, the Elvenking leads a Sultai Elf-swarm deck with both battlefield and graveyard value. On the battlefield, the commander draws and filters whenever another legendary Elf enters. In the graveyard, Elf cards supply the activated abilities that Thranduil copies, from Elf-mana dorks to Lathril-style drain effects. Landfall and Elf-token generators build a wide board, while recursive pieces such as Cauldron of Essence, Bloodline Bidding, and Awakening Hall keep it from collapsing. The main finish is a huge untamed elf attack boosted by Craterhoof Behemoth, Chronicle of Victory, Banner of Kinship, or a pumped Rydia's Return. Lathril, Blade of the Elves is the closest thing to a hidden commander, acting as a secondary engine and tap-ten finish.
