Deck overview

This Abzan deck is commanded by Felothar the Steadfast and centers around a 'toughness matters' combat strategy. By turning high-toughness, low-power defenders into devastating attackers, the deck leverages undercosted walls like Wall of Blossoms, Overgrown Battlement, and The Walls of Ba Sing Se as both defensive road blocks and massive damage sources. Felothar solves the classic weaknesses of defender decks by providing an immediate combat conversion static ability and a massive card draw outlet, turning 0-power creatures into immense card advantage without discard penalties. The deck accelerates in the early turns, establishes Felothar by turn 4, and escalates pressure with secondary powerhouses like Doran, Besieged by Time, Baldin, Century Herdmaster, and Betor, Kin to All. While vulnerable to repeated sweepers and lacking stack-based interaction, the deck presents overwhelming board presence and resilient card velocity.
