Deck overview

This mono-green deck commands Ghalta, Primal Hunger as a high-velocity stompy powerhouse designed to overrun opponents through overwhelming combat stats. The strategy revolves around deploying aggressively costed, high-power creatures like Steel Leaf Champion, Pugnacious Hammerskull, and Gigantosaurus in the early turns. These efficient beaters dramatically discount Ghalta's casting cost, frequently allowing the 12/12 trampling Elder Dinosaur to enter the battlefield as early as Turn 4 for just two green mana. Once deployed, Ghalta fuels explosive card advantage through power-matters engines such as Garruk's Uprising, Elemental Bond, and Rishkar's Expertise. The deck closes games decisively using mass-pump finishers like Overwhelming Stampede and Unnatural Growth, eliminating all three opponents over two combat cycles. While vulnerable to timely board wipes and lacking stack-based interaction against fast combo decks, the list features robust two-turn recovery and high functional redundancy, making it a resilient and terrifying force at any casual-to-focused Commander table.
