Obeka Upkeep by koconn

Format: Commander

Commander: Obeka, Splitter of Seconds

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis "additional upkeep" value deck built around Obeka, Splitter of Seconds. The central game plan is to make Obeka hard to block, connect with a player, and convert each hit into one or more extra upkeep steps. Every "at the beginning of your upkeep" permanent in the list - Phyrexian Arena, Bitterblossom, the Court cycle, Bonehoard Dracosaur, Twilight Prophet, Creeping Bloodsucker, and Ill-Gotten Inheritance - effectively fires multiple times per turn. Paradox Haze, The Ninth Doctor, and Shadow of the Second Sun are the main force multipliers, adding upkeeps without needing combat. Jhoira of the Ghitu acts as a secondary suspend engine, while the primary non-combat win is the Mechanized Production + Replicating Ring artifact-copy line. The deck is a slow, engine-driven grind deck: it resolves Obeka, connects, and then tries to out-value the entire table across several upkeep phases.
