Deck overview

Bohn, Beguiling Balladeer commands an explosive Izzet spellslinger and storm deck that turns foretell into a powerful mana-banking mechanic. By granting foretell to nonland cards, Bohn lets you split casting costs across turns, setting up massive multi-spell turns on demand. The deck deploys cost reducers and magecraft engines like Storm-Kiln Artist, Archmage Emeritus, and Birgi, God of Storytelling to turn cheap cantrips into positive mana and card advantage. Once assembled, the deck can storm off using Past in Flames, Mizzix's Mastery, and Passionate Archaeologist to burn opponents, or assemble the compact infinite combo of Twinflame and Dualcaster Mage to create an endless army of hasty attackers. Defensively, Bohn goads opposing threats on every second spell cast while a rich counterspell suite, headlined by Fierce Guardianship and Deflecting Swat, keeps combo turns safe from opposing interaction.
