This Bant deck uses Derevi, Empyrial Tactician to execute a dedicated Rule of Law stax strategy. The deck deploys early mana acceleration into redundant spell-limiting effects like Archon of Emeria, Rule of Law, and Phyrexian Censor. While opponents struggle under strict single-spell constraints and tapped mana sources, Derevi completely breaks parity. Using its uncounterable command-zone activated ability, Derevi enters at instant speed without casting a spell, using combat damage triggers to untap friendly mana sources and tap down opposing lands.
