Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius control and engine deck commanded by King T'Challa, who transforms into Black Panther, Hope Enduring. The strategy turns group-hug draw effects into a personal card advantage engine. By forcing or allowing opponents to draw extra cards through spells like Dictate of Kruphix and Temple Bell, King T'Challa triggers repeatedly to keep your hand overflowing with answers, removal, and protection. The primary route to victory is resolving Approach of the Second Sun, quickly digging through the top seven cards of the library with explosive draw triggers, and recasting it on the following turn for the win. Alternatively, the commander transforms into a durable 3/3 double striker with complete damage prevention that can eliminate players through lethal commander damage using equipment like Excalibur, Sword of Eden and Blackblade Reforged. Robust countermagic, board wipes, and protective spells keep the board stable throughout the game.
