Deck overview

Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose leads a mono-black lifegain drain deck that turns every point of life gained into opponent loss. The primary plan assembles an infinite loop with Exquisite Blood plus Sanguine Bond, Vito, or Bloodthirsty Conqueror, where any life gain or loss triggers the other and drains the table. Secondary paths use incremental drain from Bastion of Remembrance, Blood Artist, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel, or big mana Exsanguinate and Aetherflux Reservoir fueled by Cabal Coffers and Bolas's Citadel. Vito is the main drain engine but redundant with Sanguine Bond effects; Aclazotz provides card advantage and recursion as a hidden value engine.
