Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mono-Green Stompy strategy designed to deploy massive, under-costed creatures ahead of curve and leverage their power to cast Ghalta, Primal Hunger for just two green mana. The early game focuses on ramping with one-drop mana elves and establishing efficient beaters like Steel Leaf Champion, Pugnacious Hammerskull, and Rhonas the Indomitable. Once twelve power is assembled on board, Ghalta enters as an imposing 12/12 trampler that triggers power-based card advantage engines like Elemental Bond, Garruk's Uprising, and Thickest in the Thicket. The deck closes out games through overwhelming trample damage, accelerated by finishers like Overwhelming Stampede, Unnatural Growth, and Surrak and Goreclaw. While it generates tremendous combat pressure and recovers well from targeted removal by recasting discounted threats, the deck relies heavily on natural draws due to a lack of tutors and remains vulnerable to mass board sweepers.
