Commander: Zilortha, Strength Incarnate

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Gruul "power matters" midrange beatdown deck built around Zilortha, Strength Incarnate. Zilortha's replacement effect makes lethal damage track power instead of toughness, so aggressive, high-power bodies are far harder to kill in combat and through damage-based removal. The strategy is straightforward: ramp into large threats, stack +1/+1 counters, then multiply damage through enchantments like Gratuitous Violence, Unnatural Growth, and Berserkers' Onslaught to close the game with combat damage. Secondary damage channels include the extra combat from Genji Glove, copy-alpha-strikes from Devastating Onslaught, and value/attacks from Etali, Primal Storm and Bello, Bard of the Brambles. The deck has no infinite combos; nearly every line resolves through turning high-power creatures sideways.
