Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis midrange build centered on Sauron, the Dark Lord. It converts the Amass Orcs mechanic into both a scaling combat threat and a powerful card draw engine. Early turns establish mana rocks and incremental Amass permanents like March from the Black Gate and Bothersome Noisemaker. Sauron lands on Turn 5, protected by a restrictive Ward cost that demands opponents sacrifice legendary permanents to target him. Once in play, Sauron rapidly amasses an Army whenever opponents cast spells. Connecting with an Army tempts you with the Ring, allowing you to discard and draw four new cards every turn cycle.
