Deck overview

This deck is a mono-red combo and burn strategy led by Orthion, Hero of Lavabrink. Its primary goal is creating duplicate copies of high-impact creatures to overwhelm opponents through infinite attack steps, infinite token swarms, or massive enter-the-battlefield burn triggers. The deck accelerates in the opening turns using fast mana rocks like Sol Ring, Mana Vault, and Chrome Mox, paired with red ritual spells to reach the 4–5 mana needed for its win conditions. Once established on Turn 4, it threatens immediate game-ending sequences with two-card combinations such as Dualcaster Mage plus Twinflame, or Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker paired with Zealous Conscripts or Combat Celebrant. Alternatively, activating Orthion on damage engines like Terror of the Peaks, Purphoros, God of the Forge, or Fanatic of Mogis deals lethal damage to the entire table simultaneously. While extremely fast and proactive, the deck features limited reactive interaction and minimal stack protection, relying on speed to close games before opponents assemble disruption.
