Deck overview

Felothar the Steadfast leads an Abzan toughness-matters deck that turns walls and high-toughness creatures into attackers, card draw, and finishers. The primary plan is to ramp with defender mana dorks, deploy creatures with toughness far above their power, and use Felothar to attack and to sacrifice those creatures for large draw spells. Secondary paths include Betor, Kin to All's end-step drain once total toughness reaches 40, and a Staff of Domination infinite-mana loop with defender dorks that draws the deck and kills with Jaws of Defeat. Doran, Besieged by Time acts as a hidden commander, providing the same toughness-attack effect and cost reduction. The deck is slow but resilient, with heavy recursion and mass protection.
