Format: Commander

Commander: Cloud, Midgar Mercenary

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-white Equipment-Voltron deck built around Cloud, Midgar Mercenary, who functions as both a command-zone Equipment tutor and a trigger-doubler for any attached Equipment's abilities. The plan is to cast Cloud cheaply, use auto-equip effects like Sigarda's Aid, Forge Anew, Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist, and Leonin Shikari to skip clunky equip costs, then convert doubled Sword triggers into card advantage, ramp, removal, and extra combat phases. The primary kill is commander damage, usually with a huge Colossus Hammer/Blackblade Reforged-powered Cloud wearing Genji Glove and striking through multiple combats in one turn. The backup game is grinding value with Sram, Senior Edificer, Kili the Resourceful, and Armored Skyhunter, while Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle, Sun Titan, and Forge Anew rebuild the board after disruption.
