Format: Commander

Commander: Wolverine, Best There Is

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Gruul Equipment Voltron list built around Wolverine, Best There Is. The plan is to land the 3-mana commander, suit him with cheap protection and power Equipment, and exploit Unrivaled Lethality so every fight and every attack deals double damage-turning modest swings into 21-point commander-damage kills. Eighteen Equipment pieces persist through creature wipes; fight spells such as Fight for the Throne, Epic Fight, and Super Combo both grow him and clear blockers. Pump effects (Bulk Up, Two-Handed Axe, World War Hulk, Mjolnir, Hammer of Thor) convert a mid-sized Wolverine into a one-shot. A supporting cast of Raphael, the Muscle, hydras, and Quilled Greatwurm supplies a backup combat clock if the commander is taxed. There are no infinite combos and no command-zone tutor or draw engine; Wolverine is simply an efficient, regenerating voltron body. Wins come from doubled commander damage plus fair midrange beats.
