Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Grixis spellslinger list helmed by Kess, Dissident Mage. The strategy focuses on velocity, using cheap mana rocks and dark rituals to accelerate into high-impact sorceries. Kess, Dissident Mage provides recurring value by recasting key instants and sorceries directly from the graveyard. The primary win route centers on resolving massive card-advantage spells such as Peer into the Abyss or multiplier spells like Bonus Round. Once these resolve, the deck generates explosive mana using Dark Ritual, Cabal Ritual, and Seething Song, cycling through the library with wheels like Windfall and Time Spiral. The game concludes on the same turn through a massive storm finish, using Brain Freeze to mill out every opponent's library simultaneously, or burning the table down with doubled Molten Psyche triggers. Strong interaction and flash enablers ensure resilience against opposing disruption.
